My 98 lude was running really shitty.. poor gas mileage and major bogging.. i just threw a code 61 today.. Primary Heated Oxygen Circuit.. Well I called the dealership and they quoted me $282.50 for the o2 sensor.. Is a code 61 for the o2 sensor that goes on the header or catalytic converter? wheres the cheapest place you can buy one? or who is currently selling one?

 

The Primary O2 sensor is the one located on your header collector, before the cat. The secondary is the one located after the cat. The secondary has nothing to do with the way the car performs, it is only there to monitor the Cat converter performance.

You can buy the 02 sensor form hondaautomotiveparts.com ar slhondaparts.com way cheaper than what the dealerships sell em. And changing them is not hard at all. You can save your self $150 by getting your hands a little dirty.
