Default tar removal.

Just wanted to know if anyone has any special trick for getting the remnants of floor tar off after chipping it off. Currently i'm using wd40 and a scouring pad which seems to be working but i just wanted to see if anyone had any unknown tricks. thanks.

if you think that way, you won't get anywhere. I pay attention to the smallest things (tape on wire looms, plastic brackets). The weight adds up, you'd be suprised.

I like to say " if you take care of the ounces, the pounds take care of themselves"

oh and to get the residue up, I use b-12 chemtool either in the spray or in the liquid.

lol...like I said...20 lbs of tar is just the beginning if you're going to cut weight out of the car. And just imagine how much better your car will handle if you took 300 lbs out of it

And yes the little stuff does add up, its surprising. Every little bit helps out the whole.

i'm not sure weather your talking about my car or not but my prelude is nothing more than my daily driver. I have a 1990 civic dx hatch which im using for honda challenge and as of right no the only stuff thats in the car is what needs to be in the car by regulation. After i have everything squared away i'll weigh it and let you know what it came to.

I busted my *** taking out all that tar from my Honda Challenge car and now I regret it. They have added minimum weights now and unless you weigh over 250 lbs you will probably have to ballast it anyway. I have to add over 50 lbs of lead. Ignore all this of course if you are running H1.

The best trick for that tar **** is just using dry ice to start with. I did not do that so I removed the residue with a heat gun and a plastic scraper. 3M adhesive remover works very well on the real small pieces.

I was kinda poor when it came time to do the tar so i just put the car outside when it was real cold, let it sit for a while, then chipped away. Most of it came off, just some annoying residue. And yeah i plan to run H1 so i'm good for the weight restrictions. thanks.

poor? I think last time I got ice cream at the creamery here at Penn State I told them I had a 4 hour drive, which they'll pack it in more than enough dry ice to make your trip, and it only costs $2 extra

when i say poor...i mean poor. 2 dollars is two things off of the dollar menu (considering i have some change for tax). And my usual diet is the dollar menu...college rocks.
