Default Swapping in a H22

I've been searching this site and I still have a few questions: When I swap an h22 in my lude, can I still use my H23 axels? Can I still use the shifter cables and shift linkage for the H23, and is there anything else I need to know before I have this swap done? The reason I ask is because on hmotorsonline they have the 2 different options, the cheaper ($1950 i believe) just does not come with the shifter cables, linkage, and assembly so I was wondering if that was a big deal.

You can even use your H23 tranny if you want...

so getting a h22 long block and then finding a tranny would be the best option? or just get the complete swap?

dood, always get the complete swap...dont try to piece it together like Bigjussin did, it took him 2 weeks, a lot of phone calls, and a little extra dough to get it all together...use the h22 linkage and all, and if the axles come with the swap, try them out first, unless they look like crap, then use the ones u got....

i got an H22 long block that i am going to put in my 93 Si though, i have enough spare parts lying around, and i am going to use my H23 tranny for now, but i am also gonna boost the motor, so hoefully it wont suck too bad

i was lookin at prices on osaka and its 1850 for complete swap and 1100 for long block. probably looking at couple hundred for tranny so i guess i may as well answer my own question and say it'd be better to get the complete swap

Honestly, I would prefer an H22 that comes as a longblock. The reason being that 99% og the longblocks come from automatic tranny H22's. Since the engine was bolted to an auto tranny there is a lower chance that the previous owner raced/abused the engine before it reached you. Have you ever tried to wail on an auto before, it takes some work.

As to the swap, you can use everything except the engine itself. Don't bother swapping out the shift linkage, they are the same for the 'ludes. Same story with the axels.
