Default swap issues

I am currently working on my JDM H22 swap into my 94 prelude si. However i have run into a few problems. First off, the fuel line going from the fuel rail to the fuel filter is too short on the new motor. Relocating the fuel filter is out of the question because it is plumbed with some steel lines. The fuel rail on the the original H23 has the hook up on both ends of the rail so i thought about using that, but I was wondering whether it will flow the same amount of fuel as the one on the H22 and also will the injectors from the H22 connect on to the fuel rail of the H23. Also, the wires that come with the engine are set up to hook up with a right hand drive japanese car and therefore are not long enough to connect to the connections under the hood. I have not tried to take off all the tape and plastic ribbed hoses that cover the wires to see of I can gain a few inches, but would this even be worth while? If not then do I just use all the wires from the H23 and add the 2 VTEC wires into the conectors? Also is there anything else I should look for to be a problem with hooking this thing up? Thanks very much for your help!!!!! SORRY its so long!!!!

I used my F22 fuel rail, until I got an AEM rail, and it work fine when I swapped a h22 into my prelude S. I would use your original harness and add the needed wires, it's fairly easy, get your hands on some pins if you can for a more professional/safe install. Then you can sell your JDM harness.

Here's what you should use off of your h23 motor.

h23 fuel rail, swap the 345cc h22 injectors over
h23 wiring harness, you'll have an extra plug where the
coolant temp sensor on the front water outlet connector
used to be on your h23. Don't worry about that.

Being a 94, you car is probably pre-wired for vtec.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

Also you should switch over your h23 distributor.
It will make things easier.

You might also want to put a fresh timing belt in there and do
the manual tensioner conversion, and a new clutch if desired.

I did these things while the motor was out of the car
because it's much easier that way, especially the clutch

Hope this helps

Thanks for the help guys! I put in a new clutch and flywheel while the engine was out and did the manual tensioner swap as well, so that part is good to go. I wondering why I should use the H23 distributor? Whats the diff? Also it is pre-wired for vtec, but the wires in the engine bay are just missing the conectors but it is wired from the cpu to the engine bay for a vtec setup.

H23 will have a external ignition coil. JDM H22 has internal ignition coil. What
you can do is cut the connector on the H23 wiring harness to the coil and solder
black w/yellow tracer to yellow wire, leave other wire free. just tape wires away
in wiring harness. you will now be wired for internal ignition coil. good luck.

If you decide to use your h23 wiring harness, then you can cut the
connectors off of your jdm h22 wiring harness for the vtec solenoid
and the vtec oil pressure switch.

I would advise against this. You can do it either way, but it's gonna
harder to find parts if you're running an internal coil setup.
