Haha you got a "BLOWER" should have gotten a Turbo otherwise known as real FI.

WOW! What a helpful reply! Why don't you go f*ck off at ClubSI or something - the guy asked about an engine problem, not what some dipshit thinks is real FI as opposed to fake FI...

Paul

PS - 97 Prelude SH, I don't have a supercharged car myself, so I cannot help you.

Oh boy: I think this guy would get much better reply at the FI forum.

Well that's certainly more helpful than your first response. How much harder would it have been to say that instead of some bullshit about real FI?

VERY hard post to read, bro. I'm gathering that you have just recently installed your JRSC and it runs like **** during wide open throttle. What do you have the BTC **** set to? What is your static fuel pressure set to? What fuel pressure are you seeing under full boost? Have you bothered installing a fuel pressure gauge? Have you bothered taking your car to a tuner? STOP BOOSTING ON THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET THINGS PROPERLY TUNED BEFORE YOU CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR MOTOR.

The part I'm wondering about is where he says he "can't get the wide throttle body to open..." That's a mechanical problem which shouldn't be hard to fix... But then he says "but when I do open it..." I'm cornfused.

I love it when people just slap on a FI app, and expect it to run like a champ.

That post still doesn't explain what's happening.......and also if you don't want to spend for the dyno time don't go for the greddy emanage cause that'll take dyno time also....

Yeah well it matters. How's someone going to get an answer if people can't or won't read their post. If the person really wants a reply, isn't it best have a "polite" presentation? Why make it difficult for someone to read, especially since they're under absolutely no obligation to help out in the first place.

For the other guys that did try thanks alot now.

i'll try to give you guy's more info on my problem.

what i got on the car so far is this:

i have A E M fuel rail and the pressure
i do have the B&M fuel pressure gauge, and it's set to the spec that i got when i called jrsc. They said it sould be set to the 47-51 psi fuel at idle.

[makes no sense] Not the BTC is set to the spec by the manual that i got whit the jrsc

i do have V-AFC. i messed whit that just a bit and about taking the car to get it tuned it would cost me $180 an hour. They don't know how long it would take so im planing to buy a Ecu by greddy E-Manage.

if anybody got any info on a setup like this please help me here. I just spend $3500 to get my car to run like ****.

Actually, the post explains quite a bit. It shows that he does not know what he is doing but is messing around with vafc settings on an untuned JRSC. DUDE YOU ARE GOING TO BLOW YOUR MOTOR. What do you mean you have "set the BTC to the spec in the instructions"??? There is no specification, other than to keep turning the BTC **** down until you hear detonation, and then turn it back up until it stops. Using detonation for tuning feedback is a HUGE no no on an H22. One detonation event can toast even a forged piston, let alone your stock cast ones. When JR told you to set the fuel pressure between 49-51 psi, were they talking about static pressure or idle pressure? Most likely they were referring to your idle pressure, which will be no lower than about 50 psi because of the Walbro pump that was installed with your kit. You still need to adjust your static pressure at the JR FMU, which will in turn dial in your fuel pressure under boost. Your static pressure should be set between 65-70 psi, and this should be adjusted on a dyno to fine tune it. You should not be running the BTC any lower than around 8-10 clicks from the "minimum" setting until you verify on a dyno that you can set it lower safely. I'm not sure why you would spend over $3000 dollars to have a JRSC installed on your car, but not take your car down for an hour or two of dyno tuning at only $180/hr to get your fuel pressures, your BTC, and your VAFC set properly so your car runs correctly and safely. Would you rather spend up to $5000 more to rebuild your engine???
