Squeeking clutch fork?
Has anyone ever had the clutch fork and slave cylinder make a squeeking noise when you press down on the clutch pedal, any known problems on preludes with this?
or should I just spray some white litium grease?

a little bit of clutch squeek is expected. i hear it in all my friends honda's including mine. as long as its not a metal on metal grind or some horrific sound with an aftermarket clutch, you are fine.
Mine does it. Ive replaced the slave cylinde, and re-greased the fork. And its still there. So its an internal problem. Mine also makes a whistling sound to that goes away when your press on the clutch. Im gonna be intalling a new clutch and flywheel pretty soon so i will be able to tell what it is. More than likely it the release bearing.
i dont think he meant a high pitch whistle until you touch the clutch. it doesnt make any noise until you push the clutch pedal, and then its just a little *squeek*.

First i got the squeek sound then the whistle came shortly after.
lol that sucks *** man. mine is just a slight squeek when you push the pedal, its done it ever since i can remember. Im not really worried about it until my clutch explodes.
most of you guys are talking about bad release bearings, I am talking about a spring squeek, like a over streesed spring, I think it might be coming from th e spring on the clutch fork internally in the transmission

it's a common problem on honda's with hydraulic clutches, it's nothing to worry about.
the noise comes from 2 places, the actual pivot between the fork and the clutch, and the pivot which holds the fork through the tranny casing. the latter can be sprayed with good lubricant, although you have to pull back the rubber boot that covers it to properly lubricate the pivot. it's an akward spot. there isn't much you can do about the clutch squeak, unless you want to take apart your clutch for it
the "springy" squeak you are talking about it definitely the pivot in the casing. lithium grease is ok, even a "wet" but durable silicone-type lubricant will do.
