the flipping license plate thing is popular with motorcycles. I forgot the name of it. I'm sure it can be modified a little.

edit: the name is fastags.

Like night vision on a camcorder. Except the ir gun is for home security and has a range of 300'. I forgot to mention that there would be a front mounted camera to pick up images for the moniter. Problem is that the light from other cars would white out the screan.

BTW, cars=crack.

Those fog machines won't make the kind of smoke I want: I want it black, and so greasy and sooty that the car behind goes blind and spins off the road like in the game. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I actually talked to a bud of mine last night who did this a few weeks ago. He took a bottle of ATF and ran it w/ a line to his intake manifold. Through using a solenoid and something else, he made it so he could flip a switch to allow the ATF to be sucked into the manifold! He said it was VERY smokey, too, so someone may wanna give this a try!!!

SWEET!
any ideas on the long term effects of burning ATF in the engine? ah **** it - i won't worry about my engine when I'm trying to evade spies shooting at me from their black limos.

ATF is heavy on detergents, so if anything, it will clean out your motor!!!

not bullshit!!!

ok - besides the detergent factor, what i've got to worry about is the compression of the fluid. i'm going to hate it if i flip the switch and break a piston. then again, stuff like seafoam gets pumped into the intake with no problems. should i be worried about the compression of the ATF?
After talking with my step-dad, who's built a few engines, I've backed away from dumping oil in there for this very reason. I now need to decide - be safe and dump coolant into the O2 hole, or be unsafe and dump ATF into the manifold while driving hard and evading bullets.

Alright - my first assignment, due in one week.
The intake control solenoid valve controls vacuum to a diaphragm we all ripped out when we removed our resonators. Some may have even removed the solenoid and air chamber, but I didn't. The ECU controls that solenoid, turning off the vacuum when the RPMs are over 4k. I plan to use my switch to control the solenoid instead, and provide vacuum to my fluid bottle when I want, creating the smokescreen.
Damn ant.

*edit: I'm getting more wary of pumping anything into my manifold. I'd look like an *** if I blow something trying to get this smokescreen working. My contingency plan is to use that solenoid to open the tube, but run the tube between the bottle and the O2 bung of the exhaust instead. Does anyone think that I'll have enough vacuum from the exhaust and through that #8 tube to pull fluid from my bottle and dump it into the exhaust?

I hear that vegetable oil works very well as a smoke screen. And color changing paint would be pretty cool.

I'll second the color changing paint idea. It would be rad if you could say, shine a blacklight over your car and change it from blue to black, and back with infra red or something. :D

Balancing the wheels would be a bitch; but that's the only way I can really see to make a shredder wheel.

what about spring loaded knives that come out from behind the spokes angled to take out tires? it could come out on a heavy spring and lock in the 'kill position'.

You need a flame thrower exhaust too like on that cool movie with paul walker with the 2 big chrome nitrous bottles and the t66 spoon turbo motors. omghi2u.

Don't trash this highly technical thread n00b!

Seriously, I'm taking this on one at a time. I'll start with the easiest, though the consequences may be the worst. I'm looking up local carnival places trying to find smoke machine powder/liquid. I need something clean burning yet smoky.

*edit - got it. thanks to the guy way back mentioning the antifreeze in the exhaust. antifreeze should be highly concentrated propylene glycol - used also in smoke machines. it requires only that you heat it, and expel it under pressure. perfect if I can route it into my exhaust using that solenoid.

best to inject it into the exhaust after the sensors. Don't want to throw a code or something...

Then again, you could throw code 007... hrm.
