Default sputtering before vtec...

just did cams, spring/retainers, and cam gears. since i put everything back together, car sputters and back fires in low rpm (before vtec), in vtec pulls like a bitch. did i forget to connect something? has anyone else experienced this before?

Possibly the cam timing is off, it has to be tuned for the cams, got the firing order wrong. Its hard to say but just a few things to check. Hope this helps

a friend of mines also mentioned the cam timing and said that it would have to be tuned. the firing order is correct.

ALWAYS tune your car whenever you change something. Especially something like cams/gears/springs/retainers.

EDIT: thought i've seen you here before. for the H22 in your CL.
