Re: Slipstreams (k_lude)
keep the tire small for the front if you intend its use for the dragstrip. This will make the h22's ratios closer together allowing you to accelerate better.

That was my next question..... what are the advantages of running a smaller wheel ? What are the disadvantages ?

Re: Slipstreams (kornerk12)
smaller wheels allow you to accellerate a lil quicker right? i know your trap speed will probably be a lil higher.
if your going to race it now and than id go with 15s, unless you get some nice light weight 16s

Re: Slipstreams (WhiteBB2)

15's look just fine IMO.

for best performance you want the smallest diameter that will fit over the brakes, and widest tire you can fit without rubbing. 15's fit fine over OEM brakes.

Re: Slipstreams (kornerk12)
depends on the size tire you go with. Yes, if you go with a smaller wheel coupled with a smaller height tire, you will lose top speed.

Re: Slipstreams (B.Rabbit)
So if the overall tire+wheel size was the same it wouldnt affect much correct ? But that would be strickly a drag tire though right ? Because from what I have heard less tire handles better ....?

yes to the first comment.

http://www.sstire.com/tireheights.html

your second comment is kinda blah. Handling is more determinant on sidewall stiffness, tire compound and tire pressure. Although i will say that a rubberband tire wont handle that well but will give the feeling that it handles well.

Re: Slipstreams (B.Rabbit)
there's definitely a point when you're either too thin or too thick with tires.
