once you pull the head off, you'll need to get the valve springs and retainers off (valve sping compressor helps alot) then the old valves slide right out and you can just slide the new one in, then you get to the hard part putting the keepers back into the retainer to hold the retainers on the springs which keeps the valves in. I just rebuild my head last weekend and that was the hardest part of the job.

If the valve seats are ok. Then you can get away with lapping the new valves in, and go. Thats what I did to mine, but it was relatively low mileage at the time.

you dont need to regrind the vlve seats, the new valves just slide right in as long as the valve seats are in good condition

It's recommended to use bronze valve guides as the stainless steel valves have a tendency to wear out the factory valve guides. Bronze guides are very inexpensive and well worth it if your spending all that money to bullet proof your valvetrain.

unless you are going bigger bore or forced induction, then you don't need bigger valves...they can also liimit the size cams you wanna use.i have never heard of a valve just dropping in,and if you try to do so,i garantee you will burn a valve.if the seats are not in bad shape, they you can get away with just lapping the new valves in.But,since the head will have to be all apart, might as well have the seats freshened up.And if the machine shop you go to is rally good, you may not even have to lap the new valves in.If you have no idea on how to make sure your valves are seating right, let someone who knows does do it for u.
