Default Si = Vtec?

I recently bought a '93 Prelude Si and I don't know too much about Honda's so this might sound stupid, but a friend of mine told me a Honda Prelude Si has a Vtec engine. Is this true?

To be blunt & honest... Your friend isn't to bright.

Prelude S = F-Series Motor (F23)?? I forgot this one at the moment.

Prelude Si = H23 - 2.3L

Prelude VTec = H22 - 2.2L

A Prelude Si does not have a VTec motor... Sorry to break your friends heart... And probably yours.

If it doesn't say VTec, then it isn't a VTec...
