Rod weights
I'm building a NA set up & have been trying to determine who makes the lightest rods. I think most people say the Scat rods are the lightest, but I haven't been able to find the weight listed on a website anywhere yet. So I've listed a bunch of rods available for H22's (may as well add H23's). If you know the weight, or unlisted rod & it's weight, let me know & I'll update it.
H22:
Stock-
Pauter (x-beam)- 545g
Rev-
Scat- 530g
Eagle- 520g
Probe- 471g ?
Crower-
Crower Econo-
Crower Maxi-light-
Carillo (A-style)- 484g
Manley (lights)- 524g
Manley (turbo)- 609g
JUN- 508g
Oliver- 520g
H23:
Stock-
Crower-
Crower Maxi-light
Eagle-
Pauter- 535g
Probe- 467g?

I'm not 100% sure but... I don't think the probe rods are that light for the h series... Their site only lists b-series stuff from what I can see... And they start at 471 g... and h rods are gonna be more than 3 grams heavier than b-series rods.
I understand that's why I have a '?' next to the #, but if you look at the website http://www.probeindustries.com/rods.htm#ultra it actually looks like the H22 rods are 471g. Based on what they have listed the 'B' series rods (496g & 489g) are heavier than the 'H' series (467 & 471). This is def. hard to believe, though possible I guess. Wonder if they got them switched around?
I just called them to clarify. They don't have any in stock at the moment for the guy to check for me, but he'll e-mail me with the info when they get some in.

Nope. I don't know any rod weights. I never researched it. I could weigh an H22A1 and an H23A1 rod if it were less than 300 grams but they're a lot heavier than that. 300g is as far as my digital scale goes to.

On that site, it says the rod journal is 1.89 for all of them... I thought that the h22 would be 2.008?? Or right around there.

Yeah, the journals should be 2.008. The lengths are clearly H22 & H23 so I'm assuming that's what they are for, despite the 1.89 journal stated on the site. There are probably a few typos on that site, so hopefully I'll get an e-mail from Probe soon to clarify things. If it is 471 they are very light, even if they're the 496 they're light.

^^Yeah, everything seems a bit off on that site... if they were 471, they would be the lightest you can get, well... without going with OTHER materials
And I've always heard that the carillos were the lightest you could get (which is why I bought them)... Although maybe some custom cunninghams would give them a run for their money, but I don't think any probe rod would do it... I guess we'll see when you get your email back
