Default radar detectors

i know this has nothing to do with ludes but i wanna know if any luders here have radar detectors and what they think of them. Is there any good recomendations on which one to buy? I'm thinking of getting one and so far i'm set for one of the bell detectors, probably the 980 or whatever the type is.

People swear by grandmothers graves by the Valentine. I have a Bel and I love it. Saved my *** more times than I can dare to remember.

I've given up on radar detectors, I still have one in my car. I had some POS cobra but I got a Belltronics one. Wether you've got a good radar detector or not, you've also gotta have some street smarts and keep common sense in mind.....unless you can afford the tickets. If you see a bunch of break lights go on right before a crest on the road or interstate......there's most likely a trooper on the other side standing out side his car and flagging everyone down (Just saw one trooper take 4 up in Nashville.) Just use common road sense and it'll help.

I have a Whistler 1080 or somehing, but I love it to death too. I've had it ever since I got my license. It's definetly paid for it self over and over in more ways then one. Just don't be fooled into thinking that it's some forcefield or something, or that it is a "cop" detector, cause it's not. It's a radar detecter. From what I've heard the way to go is that and along w/ a radar jammer. Either way you go, if you live in a state where radar det. are ilegal, just get one that has vg2, also make sure either way that it has 360 degree protection. If anyone knows where/ how/more about radar jammers please let me know. Thanks, and I hope I helped
