Default Quest for oil leak continues, though coming to an end

First thanks all for the help with the oil leaks. Taking advice from minilogoguy18 I have worked from the top down and have found most of them. The leaking is down to a few drops every couple of days. However, it smokes a little when I get home from work. I raise the hood and see it coming up from behind the engine. The valve cover gasket has just been replaced along with all the seals on the timing side so its not there. VTEC, cam plug and dizzy o-ring seals have all been done, they no longer leak. So from there my first guess was oil cooler which I did 2-3 years ago, it looks ok. Second guess was oil sending unit which i have not yet done, it does not look too bad. Third guess, I was concerned that my drivers side transmission seal could be bad, flinging oil on the exhaust (I just replaced the passenger's side after a drive shaft replacement made it leak), however my tyranny fluid level looks fine.

So I am getting a lot more comfortable as the leaks are a lot less now, but...

I did see a little bit of oil on one of the bolts on the bottom of the intake manifold and thought, boy I hope that is old from stuff I just replaced. So here is my novice 4th guess: Is it possible for the H22A to have a leaking head gasket and yet still seam to run fine?

Thanks for your help all, always appreciated.

Clean it really good so you're not being confused with residue from the leaks you have fixed.

Oil sending unit is rare but easy fix, just remove it and wrap the threads with teflon tape and reinstall.

Teflon tape? that is an easy fix. I assume this requires an oil change?

Question remains...

Is it possible for the H22A to have oil leaking from head gasket and yet still seam to run fine?

I would think this would greatly reduce compression. Thoughts?

It is possible, if the gasket was only damaged around the oil passage, it could leak without effecting compression or anything like that.

However, i would think it's unlikely that the oil is leaking from the head gasket

You only lose a small amount when removing the oil sending unit, it's above the pan, only what is in the oil galley that runs through the block will come out, probably wont even notice it on the dipstick.

Clean the engine til it shines then run it for 10 mins or so then check for wet oil.
