Default Projector beam headlights

I have a '98 Prelude and I'm looking at converting over to projector beam headlights. Has anyone done this to their Gen5 'Lude, and what were the results? Better light distribution? Brighter headlights? I can get a set for $225 which - I guess - is a reasonable price. Any thoughts?

DON"T BUY any of those cheap ebay projector headlights. There are A LOT of threads on how crappy the lights are. You can also find threads on preludepower about these crappy lights. Save your money and have a retrofit done

man talk about anti retrofit....

IMO, ebay projectors looks nice but are not that good depending on the batch you get. some are good some are not. you have to risk it. ~65% of the time is bad....

retrofit: looks OEM, no risk and nice beam cut off...BUT super expensive.

just get some white light bulbs and call it a day or do retrofit yourself.

Weather he's advertising or not, he does have a good point. A MAJORITY of after market headlights do have lousy light output and as long as you have a few tubes of silicone sitting around you shouldn't have to worry about moisture. And BTW a friend had ordered a set for his Camry after he got in a wreck and was looking for an alternative to expensive OEM headlights. Halos and LEDs would not install to any factory plug and turn signals had to be extended just to plug them in. IMO, if you don't have the money to retrofit just keep the factory assemblys and buy some SilverStar Ultras.

He never once advertised himself. All he simply did was tell the OP his opinion on ebay lead lamps and told him that save his money for retrofits. He never advertised his services of how much a retrofit costs from him; all he said was to get a retro done.

I bet you've never seen how crappy the light output is with these, cause I've personally seen them since someone sent me a pair to have retrofitted with REAL HID projectors. Before coming in here and posting, you should try each setup before deciding what to do You get what you pay for. You wanna pay for junk, you get junk, but if you want something good, then you'll have to pay a bit more. Ontop of that, why bring back up a thread that's dated back in November of last year if you have no valuable information

ebay projector headlights are ****. i mean its your car so do what you want, but ive seen their light output and my foglights light up the road better than they do.
