problems with koni and ground control
installed koni yellows and gc coilovers. They ride great, but I'm have a slight metal to metal noise. I think its the washer and the welded notch hitting each other. It makes this noise when I hit dips and potholes. Was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if it can be fixed.
no didn't reinstall the dust cover. Installed the plastic washer, new bump stop, metal washer, coilover setup, new isolater, old isolater, pillow mount, conical washer, and the two jam nut. Changed out all the hardware in the pillow mount too.

Hmm...well use a jack to manipulate the LCA and see if you can find anything rubbing or loose.
front is lowered by 2.25" and rear is by 2". And no camber kits. I checked the uca and it looks clear. with this drop, you guys think I need a camber kit?

No, you don't need a camber kit. Get the car aligned for toe.
Have you figured out the noise? Are you sure you installed everything correctly?

I was wondering about the camber kit since they usually sit above the UCA and lower your clearance (mine does). OP, you might try jacking up one side of the car, then put a second jack under the lower control arm and start raising up the wheel assembly on that side and see if you can reproduce the noise or see if it's hitting or binding somewhere.
I think it's just the nature of the beast.
I've had this setup for years, have replaced many things and my suspension is noisy.
Did you reset the sway bars after lowering? You should take off the sway bar mounts, put the car on the ground and then tighten them back up. I think that's how it goes from what I can remember.
The pillow mounts can be the issue as mine, even when brand new still made some noise. The springs rubbing against the isolator makes noise too.
Could be your sway bar end links. Could be your upper/lower control arm busings and/or balljoints.
Could be many things basically

yea, my uca are all stock with 160k on them so they could be a problem. and its only in my rear right side. thanks for the sway bar reset tip, ill try that.
Did you get the koni sleeves or the generic sleeves? I got the cheaper generic GC sleeves, put them on the perches and the perch hit something in my suspension when I hit bumps. I rotated the perch and it's been quiet since. Or could cut the extra off the perch.
I dunno if you fixed this already, so sorry if you have and I'm bringing a thread from the dead, but my suspension was making a lot of noise for a while. It was a solid clunk in the back right side, I think like you said. All I did to fix mine was change out the sway bar bushings. Got some ten dollar ebay bushings and swapped them in and the noise was gone. I would give that a try before doing more extreme things. My suspension has 150k on it btw.
I had the same thing when I installed my koin yellows back in the day on my lude.
Noise was comming from front shocks when I hit pot holes or bumps.
My fix was, I added washers in the front. 1 or 2 I don't remember. ( I would explain we're I added them but if you install them you know what I'm talking about)
(although your noise is from rear)
