PRELUDE vs Si
The 2002 Civic Si? I would think they would be slow as dirt. It's a 2750lb car with only a 160hp engine... The Prelude has a much better power to weight ratio.
It might be a closer match for an automatic Prelude...
Kills forum. Ever hear of it?

a terrible driver in a prelude can beat a good driver in an si. that thing is horrid. i test drove one last week. not impressed at all. in fact i'd take a focus svt over the new si anyday. and i dont' think i have ever said i would take a ford over honda before, but in this case it's an easy call to say i would.

I'm sorry. I should have rephrased that. I did not mean to sound like an *** or scold anyone.

why da hell would u want a ford?? the SI has its own personalities that give it its ups seats, shifter, and special colors. but the fact that the new ivtec in the car makes the car slower then previous gen.. is a big minus. but hey, who drives stock?
i'd take the ford focus over the new civic si. but that's about it. i'm really disappointed in honda for offering such an inferior car, performance-wise in its class. the car is entirely underpowered, its stock wheels are too small, and its suspension is too soft for aggressive cornering when compared to the focus. this is just speakin from a performance point of view. sure the civic will be a better car as far as quality, refinement, fit and finish, and all that stuff. but for the racer in mind and stock to stock, the focus is easily the car of choice.
How fast are the New Si's anyway? How do they do against a GS-R? I know that the Prelude and GS-R's are a driver's race, but what about the New Si's?? Do they hang with us?
I just want to say a few things.
First, the question is very common on car bboards. I can understand that if the question was, "hey my friend has the 02 Si and I was wondering if I can beat it with my 5th gen Prelude." However, it's not. It's a simple question. Post what your hypothetical quess would be. Don't tell the guy to go race one. Where is he/she going to go race one? On the street? Start revving at one? Or go to the drag strip and sit there and wait for a 02 to line up? Or better yet, go to a 02 Si board if there's one that exists to ask for a friendly race? Why all the trouble? The board is here for questions. I agree that he/she shouldn't post in the Kill forum because yes, it's an invitation for flames. Let's just do our best to answer people's questions, ok?
Another thing regarding 00Si coming close to a GSR. But I do think that it's safe to say that it's really up to the different drivers in each car.
