hey guys, I got a question for ya. A friend of mine just bought a 92 prelude and did a carfax report and it came back as an Si-R. He's getting charged like an extra 800 a year for insurance because when the ins. company ran the vin it came back as an Si-R. This would be a good one for all of you canadian guys out there 'cause the car originated in canada and was sent to the U.S. and purchased new by the previous owner. Any help would be much appreciated.

My car also comes back as an SiR when ran through the DMV. No idea why it does that.

 

mine did as well, it even says it on my title. who knows
