wiesco pistons should have their own formula for determining ring gap.. but for 87mm pistons (stock bore size) i use .17 - .19 top ring / .20 - .24 botttom ring gap for turbo charged motors

i think i have to recheck my numbers when i get home to my garage. but im pretty sure thats what i use

those are just rod bearings... your gonna need new main bearings too.. ACL's are good bearings.. i use them in the motors i build and my personal motor as well..

you should hit up earl laskey on honda tech name is earl, he can sell you a complete set of bearings

theres a formula, for bigger sized pistons to determine ring gap.. i have that at home.. ill look it up for you.. you really should just buy main and rod bearings from earl.. look him up.. its the same price.. if not cheaper.. and hes not some unknown ebay seller.. hes well known on here plus.. he will send you the right bearings the first time around

okay..if he gives me the same deal then ill get them from him. that would be awsome if u would forward me the chart.

why does ring gap play a big role on motor life?

because heat causes metal to expand, and you need proper clearances to compensate for that..

I would suggest getting higher comp pistons if its a DD..8:5:1 is gonna be sucky on the street while just driving.
what about 9:5:1? make more power as well..

compression ratio has nothing to do with spool up time of the turbo

350whp can be obtained with 750cc..

So having a higher compression piston that makes a more powerful explosion causeing exhaust gases to expel out to the exhaust manifold at higher rate than a lower CR piston wouldnt cause faster spool up?
