Default P13 Knock Sensor Question?????

I have a p13 ecu for a h22. The motor has a knock sensor but is not hooked up. The ecu is not throwing a code for it. My question is does the jdm p13 ecu look for a knock sensor? what about the usdm ecu? Does it affect the performance of the motor being not hooked up? thanks in advance.

Both jdm and usdm look for a knock sensor. Yes it does affect your car it goes into safe mode. Why your ecu is not throwing I have no clue. Is the ecu a virgin??? You might have a chipped ecu, See if you can go over 120 if its a jdm. If you can and its jdm it’s chipped.
