p13 on h23?
can i run this??? i have a p13 layign around and wanted to try it...i know i'll prob get a CEL cuz it won't have the vtec wiring.....but i'd still like to try it, and try to take the revs a little higher...like 7 g's instaed of 6500...
I don't know if it will work, but installing the p13 to move the rev limiter higher is a bad idea. H23 is a good motor, but I think most will agree it shouldn't be reved any higher than the stock red line. The bearings will not like it.

Well, I can't really comment on what it would do for you under 6500rpm. It seems like most people that have upgraded who originally ran p13's either went with a hondata or maybe a chipped gsr ecu. I don't know much more than this though, I'll leave it to someone else who knows to reply. Goodluck.

It's not going to work. It has different air/fuel mappings. It won't run right. Besides, why do you want to rev up to 7000rpms? You will only be putting unnecessary stress on the motor while not making anymore power.
Rule of thumb: Just because you rev higher doesn't mean you are going faster or making more power. That's why dynos are so important.

that's a dumb idea. The non-VTEC tune of the p13 is for less performance than a P14 h23 ecu would. then everytime you would hit 4900rpms you would go into limp mode and your car would run like ****.
Just put on a vtec tranny. I did this tranny swap when a mechanic replaced my axles, and didn't put new seals. My tranny fluid leaked out and I blew my tranny. Anyways they had to buy me a new tranny. So I got a Vtec one. I noticed a big difference in shifting
