Heres my question.i got a 98 prelude sh and i think it redlines at 7400 rpm when racing what rpm should i shift at? thanks

so at 7300 rpm thanks for anwsering my question

 

i shift when the factory tach his right before or about 8,000. Some argue the power drops off after around 7,300, which it does, BUT if I shift at a little before 8,000 it lands me in an area where the engine make more power for the next gear.

 

heres a novel idea. Go to the track, and try shifting at different RPM's, stick with the one that was fastest. it seems for me to be around 6900-7000 for me.

 

i shift @ redline on the stock tach. it's a honda, remember?
