mugen????
hey jtb, anyone here is going to tell you that the body parts are ridiculously hard to find... because that is a truth... (although I do believe the spoilers and header and other misc gear pop up on ebay from time to time) but since I recently found myself a front bumper (you can see my car on page 13 of the 4th gen picture thread - about midway) I thought i'd tell you how I chanced upon one.
I cruised RHD importer websites for awhile, due to that 15 year rule (atleast in canada?) those companies have, the ludes are only now starting to teeter on in. I saw on one RHD importer website a black lude with a mugen bumper, but the next time I checked the site it was sold ):... but it just so happened that the specific importer just hosted the auctions, and the car was bought by another importer that lived in my province (ie: not sold to a customer) and I chanced upon the same black prelude on their website!, so I quickly contacted the importer, told him I would REPLACE the bumper with an OEM one, painted to match the car, etc etc, and pay our negotiated price on the mugen bumper - basically hands free for him, because JDM lights aren't DOT approved (no stamp) he also wanted USDM lights (just for the inspection), so I got him a set of those too - basically I did whateva would keep the transaction going smoothly LOL. I gave him a deposit before the car even landed, so he couldn't change his mind etc. anyways, that is probably your best bet, scan for cars coming out of japan, or if you speak japanese, or have friends that do, or can plan a vacation over there to check out lots. Or talk to all the parts importers you can, and see if you can get them to keep an eye open for ya. It's tricky but if you work at, i'm sure you'll find a way. I'm sure more mugen preludes will be imported from japan sometime, you just gotta be in the right place at the right time.
my lens covers came from the Uk...
good luck.
