MSD Blaster 2 owners.........
did you hook up your coil with that ballast resistor they show on the instructions? It says its for points ignition...what ever that means. I saw a write up on this installation and i dont remmember seeing this part.

Are you using an msd box? But anyway, you do not use a ballast resistor at all. And points ignitions came on muscle cars in the 60s and 70s. hondas have electronic ignition systems.

Also im running on NGK wires, will the coil-to-distributor wire fit on the MSD coil? Or do i have to buy some sort of adapter? I thought the coil came with everything i needed, guess not.
I think the coil wire will work with the msd coil(assuming the coil has a socket style connector like the stock coil). As for wiring up the coil, if the wire colors are the sameon your car as they are on mine(95 vtec)there is three wires in the connector for the coil, yellow, yellow w/black stripe, and blue.I think the blue has to go to the coil negative, and the other 2 wires both have to go to the coil positive.
Can anyone else varify that the NGK coil wire will work with the MSD coil? I just ordered the NGK wires and its gonna suck if i have to order an NGK coil wire to fit.

it will work with the stock coil wire. but just to let you know, i ran the
blaster ss coil with my stock ignition and i saw no benefits from it.
as a matter of fact, when the coil got too hot, i would cause my car to
shut down, i put the stock coil back on and have never had that problem since.
i think the blaster hvc coil is a good product, but i would only run it
if i had the msd box to go with it

My experience exactly, did you use the MSD dizzy cap?
I usually recommend against the blaster coil but if you go ahead this may help : http://www.integra.orcon.net.nz/msd
I suggest you get the MSD cap instead of trying to modify your stock one, I'm using an NGK wire.
