my driver's seat wont recline anymore ever sinced i pressed that memory button. i recently broke off the seat reclining lever in attempts to adjust my seat. force is not the way . the lever on the side of the seat doesn't work either. its driving me crazy. somebody help please.

 

i think you're gonna need a new seat

all the memory button does is remember your seat reclining position so if you move it, when you return it to upright it will be at the angle it was when you pushed the button.

maybe when you pushed the button something jammed, and now that the levers are broken, it'd probably be easier to just replace the seat.

i guess if you wanted to you could take the seat out, remove the upholstery and check out the mechanism...

 

I had mine to the oposite. It would not lock up. I had to be reclined all the way back before it would lock.. I pulled the seat out and took the side cover off. It had all kinds of **** down there. It was like greasy dust crap. I cleaned it up and put some fresh grease on and it works better than ever now.

 

lol hey, the exact same thing happened to me... i pressed that memory button and my seat wouldn't recline... but unlike you, i'm a weak sob and would never have the strength to break off the handle. however, i did stick my fingers into the crevice (spelling?) and after that, it does recline ONCE in a while. I regret hitting that memory button too man

 

haha thanks for the replies, i didnt actually break the metal part, only the plastic handle thingy haha. i guess im going to have to replace the seat =/ anybody selling 4g leather seats
