Default Lowering my lude

What is the best springs to get to lower my 99 lude?
And if I drop it 1 1/2" can I still get 19" wheels on it?

I wanna do it right. Next would be shocks.
The fender well is so big didn't know if the 19" would look bad or if it would even fit.
wanting to go with 18" and a 1 1/2" drop.

If you're serious about doing it right, then do 'em at the same time.

I've seen 5th gen ludes "bagged" on 20" rims. I'm sure you could do 19", however you'd be sacrificing some performance in handling (cambers, tire rubbing, turn radius).

Personally, I'd stick with a nice Tein setup for suspension, and some of your fav 18" rims.

My two cents worth.

Sorry, im just being an *** as always.

I think 19's would be too big to even fit properly but I've never done/seen that before on a prelude.

I have (had) a 97 prelude with 19s and got flamed for asking the same sort of question.
Im assuming alot of ppl on this forum like racing and you wont find 20s on a race car, infact the smaller the rim the better.
I personally like big *** rims myself. MY car was dropped 1 1/2 with 19s and tokico blues. As long as you have some tight shocks and 35/40 for tires you shouldnt get any rub, unless you ride around with 4-5 ppl in your car.
like 92wraith said you will loose some daily drivability with the rims, but this holds true to alot of upgrades/am parts.

I must agree with most of the people on here. The bigger the wheel, the less the performance. It all depends on what you're lookin' for. If you're willing to give up performance for looks, go for it. Personally, I choose performance but thats just me.

what makes you guys think she is even interested in racing? nobody asked once what she plans on doing with this car.

for a daily go to work, take the kid to grammas, etc. run 19's if you want. remember the next set of tires will eat your lunch, ride quality will suffer, and careless driving over pot holes will cost you a bent wheel.

If you have any racing in mind go smaller (17&lt

what I would do for a daily grind car. Tein H Tech,
18's and leave in alone.

19's will be hell on your suspension too. its not designed to support that weight. also, the thinner your tire's sidewall is, the worse ride quality will be. IMO, if you're going for the show look, 18's are perfect on ludes. if you want to be fast, 16's - 17's.

that's all personal preference. I respect people right to make their car look however the hell they want it to. Just remember, if you put big *** wheels on your car (or any number of ricer parts), your car is not fast, it is in fact slower. So please don't drive it like its fast, if you do you are only making yourself look like a total *** on the street.
