Default losing power

Hello everyone,
i am having a problem with my 98 lude i could feel it start losing power at about 100k miles and it is getting worse. before this i could shift from 1st to second and keep it in vtec unless i had a passenger. now it feels like its hesitating in vtec and occasionally the check engine light will come on for bank 1 running too rich. im assuming thats just an 02 sensor and would not affect the performance that much. its slightly modded, cai, headers, exhaust, and recently changed oil and fuel filter. Do you guys have any suggestions for y i am losing so much power. there is about 110k on the car right now. i am contemplating pulling the motor and doing a complete rebuild.

o2 sensor could throw off alot of things. Running rich will deffinitely hurt power as well.
The leaner you run the better the output (ofcourse you don't want to run too lean)

I'd swap the o2 sensor for ***** and giggles. You might be suprised. Don't buy a cheap *** bosh one either. Get a good one.

yeah, may as well replace both though. They both will experience the same emmissions/combustion so will likely both be similar in conditions. One is by your header and the other is by your catylitic converter I belive for a 5th gen. I have a fourth so as Mikeluder mentioned I only have one.

Oem denso would be your best choice. I would hope you can buy it from a place other than a dealership or its going to cost you alot more. Just look around.

$50/each is for Densos. That's not cheaping out. Thanks, but the birthday sucked. If you're referring to the base wheels in my FS thread, I can give you the information of the people selling them.
