Default Looking at getting a 94 Prelude Si

Well, my civic is being sold. I have found a 94 Si with 60k miles, 5 speed. Dark blue.

Tell me everything I need to know about this car. TIA - Brian

I'm Confused, are you buying one or did you already buy it??

as for your question, ummmmm, put gas in it and change the oil?

Seriously though, there aren't many things that are peculiar to the SI although some say it doesn't get enough oil, which can lead to a spun bearing. So lube that puppy up. 4th gen radiator end tanks are also pretty shitty and prone to crack. that's all that hits me right now

I put a down payment on it. If I get it, I will get it Friday.

No, I won't get a Vtec. A) My age = high insurance
B) I don't want to spend any more money.

Any good resource websites? I just registered on Preludesonline.com (Yes for $6 damn dollars!)

well if you've already put a payment down then it is pointless for me to give you things to look for before buying. BUt ya, PO.com will have a lot of info for you - do a search. SI's are fun but don't expect to be killing all the locals with them anytime soon (unless they have civics ). I have learned...

EDIT: and just cause I'm such a nice guy, here is a link that explains several DIY mods, and surprise, it is actually explained on the SI for once!! http://members.tripod.com/~Pre_ludE/pmods.html

You arre getting a great car man. The H23 is a pretty impressive motor. I am still surprised how hard it pulls...and my car has 157K miles on it.

You are getting a cool speedometer too. I think it is the best one I have seen.

Good luck with it. I am sure you will be happy with it.

I'm a bit biased, I've got a '94 Si w/39k on it and I love it, but I still think VTEC is a little overrated, but by no means am I saying It's a bad motor.
