I need an engine! I'm looking for some good prices on a H22a1 or even a H22A4. Could anyone help me out?

 

they are both the same engine just different years of preludes. the jdm is 210hp h22a and the usdm is h22a1-h22a?

 

the jdm is 200hp h22a.

the usdm is 190-200 hp h22a1 or h22a4

 

JDM is more than 200 hp

 

Actually there are a few structural differences between the engines.

dont just say there are differences and then end your post... educate us. what is the difference between the a1 and a4?

 

1992-1996 - H22a in Jap H22a1 in US - has a closed-deck block and peak-and-hold fuel injectors.
1997-2001 - H22a in Jap H22a4 in US - has an open-deck block and saturated fuel injectors. (The 99+ heads also have different lost motion assemblies per the service manual.)
