JDM headlights....
i went to this shop today to see if my car is done. it's painted and ready to go, but there are two problems:
1. morons somehow managed to get water in my brand new JDM headlights!
2. one of my HID's is not working
yes, i'm that mad!
does anyone know how to get the water out? can i take the headlight apart somehow and wipe it off from the inside. i don't want to just leave the headlights on to dry it because that would leave the watermarks on the inside of the lenses.
i told them to fix it if they can, but if it doesn't come out clean, should i:
a. make them buy me new headlights
b. take my AK down there and kill 'em bastards.
the paint looks great, i took some pics and i'll post them tomorrow.
btw, the AK is loaded and begging for some action.

Make them fix it and have it look factory. If they can't do that tell them to buy you new ones and install them properly.
just shoot sompressed air into it until the water is gone and your done. That's how I got it out of my 1 pce JDM light's on my 4th gen, and out of 1 of the taillights too. It worked great and only took like 10 mins. Just pull the bulbs and shoot it with air until it's all gone and put the bulbs back in.

Hi im new to this site but i hae an answer to your problem... Instead of opening it up, you can juss get a heat gun for like 20 bucks that you can purchase at a hardware store... juss run the heat gun across back and forth on the fogged up head lights untill it gets dry. this will save you alot of time. then you wont have to reseal up the headlights.

i wouldnt use a heat gun because they are made of plastic, my car is going into the shop tuesday and im taking my headlights off jsut because it leaves room for error and i bought mine new and they were not cheap

the few times I've gotten moisture in them, I've just pulled the rubber seals off the back, and driven for a day or two when its nice and dry out w/ my headlights on all the time. It all evaporates out, and it has never left water stains behind.
