yeah but what would be better to do for performance, get the injen short ram or create A DIY intake? im still not sure on this, and does a Short ram give you just as much power as a cold air?

the injen [full CAI] intake is a great system, along with iceman, AEM, DC Sports, etc...
Any of those brands are great, and none of them are really that much better than the other...I would go with whichever of those [as in full cold air intakes systems]that I could get the cheapest.
just my .02 cents

i would just buy a noname intake off ebay and buy a good filter for it. You have to remember that anytime you buy a name brand intake you are paying for there advertising/costs of operating a large company. The only reason to have a name brand intake is the bling factor.

Short ram is for lower end power... CAI is for high end power.
Be careful about driving in the rain with a CAI. Becuase the filter is in the wheel well.... it will suck up water. If you do decide to get the CAI and do drive in heavy rain/through lakes.... make sure to get a bypass valve ( I believe that's what it's called) just to be safe.
