Default Instrumentation / Dashboard Lights Problem

Greetings! I am new to the forum, but not my Prelude.

I am a proud owner of a '98 Prelude. Recently, my dashboard backlight lights (speedometer, heat/ac, and cruise control) all stopped working. The red light on the heat/ac and cruise control buttons which indicate that they are engaged still works. Likewise, the brake, check engine, oil, etc all seem to work just fine when I insert the key. I noticed that when I use my factory remote to unlock / disarm the anti-theft for the car that the speedometer back lights actually blink (like normal). I thought it might be a fuse issue, but then when I saw the speedometer lights blink when I used the remote I sorta ruled that out.

Any thoughts? Any help would be really appreciated. It is a real pain to drive at night and have no idea how fast you are going.
