I originally had a Crane setup on my car, and it died in two days. I now have an MSD for over a year, with no problems. However, I still have the Crane Coil.

For nitrous, get the digital6, since it has an ignition retard feature that'll be useful to you.

Most to all reviews on crane products are extremely poor. They seem to fail quickly, go MSD - I own an MSD 6A ignition and Blaster 3 coil, can't complain at all. I love the quick throttle response!

I'd definately get the msd digital 6. it lets you retard your timing ony while youre spraying (unlike the 6AL). it also an oveall better ignition than the 6AL. You can get them for $279.95 at http://www.summitracing.com or at atlanticspeedracing (company you can find on ebay).

I would also like to add:

dont get a jacobs ignition. jacobs electronics are very poor quality. i know many people who have had problems after about a year the ignitions just go bad. also, two of the shops that i go to stopped selling jacobs products as well for that exact reason. the only product i would ever buy from jacobs is the nitrous mastermind.

also, you cant stay with your stock ignition timing, if youve got anything above a 55 shot, so you cant really stay with the stock ignition... what size shot are you running?

I'm gonna start at 75 and tune my way up to higher shot. I'm most likely gonna get the MSD digital 6 paired with the jacobs matermind. The Digital 6 should take care of the retard needed for my nitrous application right?

hate to say it, but the digital 6 and the jnmm dont work well together. if youre set on the mastermind, get the 6al. the jnmm paired with the digital 6, wont allow you to retard your timing only while youre spraying. im not sure what the other disadvantages to the combination are, but i've heard not to do it. I'd go for the digital 6 UNLESS youre getting a mastermind, and in that case get the 6A or 6AL
