How to fix permanet ecu error codes
I have a 99 prelude base, manual, it has three or four ecu error codes due to old h22 that was misfiring, it has a misfire on 1,3, and 4, is there a way to erase the old codes from the previous motor? let me know
you have to reset the ecu. I believe you just pull clock fuse for 10 minutes or so, or dissconnect negative battery for about 10 minutes. So you have a new motor but same ecu?? That would have required you to disconnect the battery I would think??
f**k check engine lights... I have a switch on the backup power circuit for the ecu... it definitely comes in handy, i highly recommend installing one
Don't hack switches into your car man. Fix the problems that cause the cels. Or what, you wanna start ripping out dash bulbs too when things go wrong, just to get rid of the light lol. Even if the lights not there to indicate somethings wrong, your car is saying somethings wrong.
Alot of it is useless junk thats there to make money but some of it is important and needless to say if your hacking a switch to reset your ecu due to frequent faults that you don't really know what the hell your doing and probably shouldn't be hacking a switch in, in the first place.
Meanshyguy, whats wrong with your Egr system? Have you started a post about having issues with that?
