hit a curb... need help!
it was raining the other day and my car slid out and the right rear wheel hit a curb... i was only doing 10mph (oily roads) so i didn't hit too hard, but after it happened my steering wheel was cocked about 45 degrees to the right. I was turning left when i hit the curb but i tried to counter steer to control the slide, but again, only my rear wheel hit the curb. after eyeballing the rear end, I can't see anything broken and the toe still looks normal, but eyeballing it doesn't make my judgement correct.
What has caused my steering wheel to be cocked over like it is? the only thing i can think of is that the whipping action of my car bouncing off the curb while i was counter steering put too much strain on the alignment?
I really need yalls help on this one fellas!

Now the alignment is off and you may have bent something, but it's hard to tell exactly what without looking at it though. Could have been that the cam bolt in the toe arm moved and caused the alignment to get messed up.
I hit a curb at about 10 mph and bent the under carriage. About $1,400 to fix it. I would say to take it to mechanic and have it looked at. Maybe even a body shop.

I was DUI once and drove into a ditch. It bent the LCA and subframe up front. It also had to be straighten so the aligment would be right again. It's fixed and is only a track car now, but yeah.... Don't drink and drive.
hey guys sorry i never got back i totally forgot i posted this thread on this forum... anyways I finally got around to working on the car today and nothing looks bent from what i measured using a protractor and tape measure... I still don't get why the steering wheel is cocked to the right though... is it just compensating from the TOE being out of wack?
I'm wondering if i should take the car into honda so they can fix the alignment or take it to a generic shop to work on it?

Im not sure if you have Firestone tire shops in Texas, but out here in California they offer lifetime alignments for ~$150 or so for any one vehicle under one owner. Its a hell of a deal if your car needs alignments every so often.
If your steering wheel is off that much, I doubt it's just an alignment issue. How certain are you that nothing is bent or broken?
Start with your tie rods.
