just a warning.. i don't know jack **** about engines.. i just drive

anyways, i brought my car to the track, a real track.. not a drag strip mind you.. and basically was front wheel drive drifting it. I pushed it pretty hard and wasn't paying attention, redlined my car in 2nd gear through a drift.. only once though.. i'm thinkin this might be the cause of my idle problem (i'm probably wrong) the rpm's go from 1k to 1.5k at random times.. it doesn't happen when i'm warming up but after i drive for like a minute and then come to a red light or something. sometimes it just continues the weird idling for a while and sometimes its weird for like 10 seconds and then goes back to normal.. do i need to bring the car in to the dealer or is this something i can fix myself even as a complete newb?

also.. since a lot of dirt got into the car and the engine bay, do i really need to worry about changing all the fluids? or is it fine for now?
