Default headlight wiring question

problem: short, somewhere, so i have one dim headlight and one bright headlight. the high beams are also always on, but very dim.

solution: take the bright side's power wire, split it and run it to the dim side's wire.

will this work? or will they then both be like 1/2 power lol

if i'm good to go, can i use this? i would cut the wire on the good side, twist in a connecting wire to go to the other headlight, crimp, and reconnect it to its own wire.

The best option would be to take your ride to an automotive electrician and have them find the source of the problem. Then repair accordingly. Price around here would be just under $100.

I'd get a multimeter and test the power instead of splicing up your harness.
