Default haze on inside of front windsheild

Every three days about when I go out in the morning to work, there is a haze crap on my front windshield inside. I don't know what it is but I have tried cleaning the windsheild with alcohal, windex, simply green, goo gone. and still every three days this haze comes back.

I don't know how to explain, but it is hard to see if I leave it on, i can run my finger down and it will leave a line. I have no idea what it is but it won't go away.

Should I clean out the vents, and if so how would I do that? Do I have to take the dashboard out?

Are you talking about condensation on the front windsheild??

Well is it dirt? Do you smoke? Keep the windows open? And do you run the air up the windshield all the time or what?

Have you lost any coolant? Could be a small leak in the heater core.

I agree with 91hawk, seen this before on other vehicles as well.

No its not condensation.

I wiped it with a paper towel and nothing gets on the towel, I do not smoke, don't know if previous owner did, but didn't smell like it when I bought it. I sometimes do drive with the windows down. Run the air up the windshield you mean the defroster? No I don't , don't need it here.

I have checked and do check the fluid regularly as being in Vegas if just slightly low could cause for overheating very eazy. And no I have no visible leaks and have not added any fluid since I flushed it.

I don't know how to explain it its just a haze, you can see if from outside the car as well, sometimes it looks like a couple different colors.

AH! you mean different colors like almost oily?? I wonder if there's some sort of rain-x type stuff on it. You need a stronger glass cleaner!

Thats also what I was wondering, because if I rub it clean it kind of sometimes smears and won't come off clear. Do you know what would clean that stuff off if it is rain-x? or the sort.

i think its an oily junk on there too. stronger cleaner. acetone works great. a laquor thinner will work also, aircraft stripper would probably work well too. just dont get any of that stuff on your skin or interior, it'll mess some stuff up. also dont use a towel that you care about cause it'll bleach out. oh yeah, dont do this in a closed garage or with the windows up in the car, make sure theres plenty of ventilation. prepared to get sick if you smell this stuff for 15 minutes strait.

Well wouldn't I get like a strong headache if my a/c was leaking? I will try some of those cleaners. None of them will mess up the glass correct? I will put some old towels down on the dashboard so just in case it drips. Thanks for all the help.

Mine's done that too. I think it's from your breath or sweat or something; it gets a film on the inside of the window, and it SUCKS when it starts to fog up!

I've heard vinegar works, as well as newspaper. I haven't tried either.

Do NOT use aircraft stripper or anything else like that on your glass! It has a very thin anti-shatter film on it that stripper will eat off!

Coke or Pepsi works to clean build ups and films of sorts...the acids clean just about anything....make sure you get the cola off tho cause it'll get sticky lol

i would use the vinegar to try and get it off and then after that try putting some shaving cream on the inside window. i know it sounds crazy but it keeps the windows from fogging up in the winter in ND and might work in your case as well.
Good luck

I second the shaving cream, and you can use shampoo too, its and old trick that worked on hockey helmets.
