i want to upgrade my 2000 prelude to have the halo headlights and and hid kit but all the manufacturers of the halo headlights say not to use the hid kits with them because of the heat they put out, any suggestions on how i could get both? or are the manufacturers full of bs?

 

I know it's not what you askked...but if you're buying new headlights with those ebay projectors you're going to pay 250 shipped, then another 100-200 for the HID kit...

I'd recommend just getting a retrofit.

Forget that ricer stuff and do a quality retrofit into your stock headlight housings.

You can use very fine sandpaper (2000) and plastic polish/scratch remover to bring them back to good shape.

 

i did it today and it looks great thanks alot for the tip but i still really like the look of the halos lol

 

What grade of sandpaper did you use mine are flaking off someone must of tried it before I bought the car...oh and what kind of polish?

 

the polish was just a car buff/wax scratch remover that i used with my buffer (bought from o'reilys), and the sandpaper was the finest grit that home depot had, im not quite sure of the grit but it was pretty smooth

 

what you really need to do is wet sand and have a clear coat sprayed on your lenses. I do this for anyone who has a retrofit done by me for FREE....I see that you're in Arlington, TX. I'm also located in Arlington
