Anyone know how to tell the year on an jdm H22A?

That indicates first year of model production. So 1992 or 1996. You should be able to confirm that with the year stamp on the IM, I believe.

If it came from an Accord, then it isn't 1992 or 1996. Also, in 1996, there was only 1 model of Accord with the H22A, and that was the Accord SiR. According to everything I've read, they were made from 1994-1998.

Right and the SiR was a red topped h22a 220hp stock correct?

oh this motor also has a LH code stamped into it where the serial # is

the whole thing reads
H22A
LH

Yeah i knew the guy i talked to about it was full of ****. Just looked its a 1992 motor i found the date stamp and it was made mid January.

1992 H22A means JDM Prelude Si VTEC model, 200hp, 10.6:1 CR, black top.

Ok sooo the tranny code starts with a H and the rest is rubbed off i was tryin to wipe off the oil and the letters came off GAY!!!!!!!

Dude you are the **** lol. I was told it was an accord tranny by the same guy that said it was a 96 red top so i didn't believe it. Do you know if those are worth a crap?? I know it is pretty quick but it could be faster. 5th gear has no pull but it will do about 150 in 4th. 4th is real long 5th tops out at like 120 or stops climbing rather it has alotta motor left
