basic rule of thumb for NOS. the biggest "safe" shot of NOS you can take will be your WHP cut in half. ie: 150 WHP = 75 shot. or 200 WHP = 100 shot.

makes sense? please correct me if im wrong.

(270) 781-9741
Call this number, tell them the part number for your nitrous kit, and ask them which jets you need for a 50 shot.

i couldve sworn i saw this EXACT same post before....why did you post a picture of the kit, im pretty sure we all know what it looks like. but to answer your question, 75 shot would be the highest id go before an engie rebuild

If you bought the kit it will tell you which jets to put in to get the hp that you are looking for.

but yea i'd say you could call about any place that sells the nitrous and they could tell you what jets you'd need

Even though most stock H22's dyno between 150-160 whp, I feel that a 75/80 shot on stock internals would be seriously pushing it dude, so I wouldn't engrave that 1/2 whp "rule of thumb" on a stone tablet...

My motor and I think that you are wrong. Don't go scaring the newbies unless you've gone out and tested this stuff yourself.

First, I wasn't answering you, I was talking about the 50% whp formula. If you have before/are doing it now and it's working out for you, great. thumbup: I have heard of people who have pushed that and more. I didn't say "I know that's not gonna work!" I said "I feel that's pushing it." I think you've seen this discussion on PO and heard the n20 horror stories yourself.

But tell me what's worse: To maybe unneccesarily scare them into not doing it, or for me to say "Oh yeah dude, that'll be fine." and be partially repsonsible if it goes horribly wrong?!?

An .032 with a .028 fuel using a dry kit like the one in the picture.

-Yes you said that you "feel" that a 100 shot on an H22 would be "pushing it." Have you blown up an H22 with a 100 shot of nitrous? Have you ran 20 bottles through an H22 without a hiccup from the motor? Do you have any personal, real world experience on this topic?
-There hasn't been a single blown motor due to nitrous on PO.com since I've been moderator of the nitrous forum, or at least none that I've heard of. I won't tell a newbie to go out and spray a 100 shot, but most of the veterans will agree that a 100 shot is feasible. Getting it to the ground is another question.
-People can make decisions for themselves. Bisi is running 18+:1 cr in his race motors. He makes it work. That doesn't mean that everyone can do that.

Hell I'll even say it for you. If you tune your motor properly, perform regular maintenance, and keep an eye on vital factors you can run a 100 shot on an H22.

My point is that you haven't shown any actual information, only your "feelings" and opinions. If you don't know if something is or is not going to work, then don't post on that subject. I'm going to point it out when somebody directly contradicts what I have shown to work in the real world. I have the facts, the car, the time slips, and the motor to back me up.
