Does the H22 have a O Ring (black rubber ring) between the center camshaft holders and head? The b series motors have them for sure...didn't see one on a H22 head I'm taking apart. Anyone know for sure?

 

If its the oil control orifice you are talking about, then yes it does.

 

so weird...I took another h22 head apart and that one didn't have it either...

on the cam caps themselves no there are no O-rings, just straight aluminum.

hes talkin about between the head and block if i am reading it right.....very vague.....

 

between the head and block h22 dont use it ,, h23 and f series do like the b series.. but their is one on the h22 head... oil orifice is the name, and a helms book will point that out for ya

no not talking about between the head and block...just the head and the cam caps!!!

I believe this answers my question. Just think it's weird that it doesn't have it and the b series do, why doesn't it?
