Hi my buddy just got ahold of a 97 prelude and it has some green cams in it. I was wondering what they are cause they me causing a ticking issue. did not know anything was done to it. there is a ticking noise coming from the top end. adjusted the valves, replaced rockers, etc and the noise is still there. i want a set of stock cams to test if thats where the noise is coming from. these must be aftermarket, but i dont know what kind. VTEC does hit like a bat out of hell though.

so if anyone knows where to get a set of stock h22 cams let me know

take some pics and look for any markings or stamps on the cams themselves, then maybe we can tell if they are stock or aftermarket.

could be gude maybe??? i dont know if they color stuff green but they do love that color....

First thing that came to my mind as well They have thier bull frog cams or whatever the hell they call them. And they loves theys green

 

I have a pair of Gude cams and they do not have any green coloring on them anywhere.

 

hmm, ill ask him if he noticed anything, they are still in the car so i dont know if he really want to take them out just yet.
