Does anybody have this Skunk2 Coilover Kit?

I just did a search just now. I didn't get anything on criticism of these coilovers. I only got threads of people selling theirs or asking if anyone else has some that they want to buy.

Well they arent a true coilover, but if all you want to do is lower your car and make sure the springs dont die out and break then this would be good for your style.

I want to know if the ride quality will still feel like stock or close to it.
Will it also make my handling a little better too?

I heard that the Teins Basic are not really good from some people on here. They are really $$$expensive$$$ too.

If you want the feel to "feel" Like stock you need a custom setup which mates a shock with the size of a spring so you get the kind of drop you would like and there is no movement between the spring and the top hat(thats what give that bouncy feel, when the spring has alot of play which most people interpret as "a stiff feeling") and also your spring rate is one for a street car. I hope this is somewhat understandable.

Another good alternative is Ground Control Coil overs with Koni Yellow shocks

Either way though you will get a bouncy ride (depending on how low you'll go) if the shock and Springs arent mated for each other.

if you want stock like ride, and lower car.. then you`ll want something like eibach prokit springs, they are progressive... they are soft then gets stiffter depending on load..

sleeve / springs are linear spring rate.. usually means stiff ride

I dont want to sound like an ******* but what i stated is why your suspension feels "stiff".

if you have a G to spare, get the tein ss coilover. have them on my 5th gen. love them. If you don't want to go half-assed, get the teins. Plus, they have 16 different dampening settings making them really versitile.
