Default gear problem

Hello,

On my 98 prelude, sometimes when i put the clutch in and put it in first, it only goes in half way. It is not fully in gear and i am pressing on the clutch fully. I was wondering if this is a normal problem becuase i recently grind on reverse and this problem occur more often (like once or twice every two days) When this happen i do one of two things to get it in to gear. I shift to second then back to first or i let off the clutch a little while pressing it in to first and then it will just pop right in.

I sort of have that problem? Sometimes mine does not go into 1st properly, it seems to get stuck. Also I can only get into first when car is fully stopped basically, if not I sort of have to push it into first. But I am not sure how to solve it.

It's something inherent to these trans'. If that happens, let the clutch pedal out, then back.

This is normal, our car wont let us put it in to first gear if we are above 10 MPH. If it's under 10 or a full stop then it will go in to first gear.

So what your saying is that this is normal with the H22A4 tranny?

My car also make a funny sound when you fold the clutch and give it some gas, once the rpm start dropping, i heard this sound. (sounds like something is rattling around the exhaust pipe)
