Default Gear grinding

I test drove a 2000 prelude the other night and when ever i put it in to 5th gear there would be a very slite grind, the owner said i wasnt depressing the clutch all of the way. He said that 5th gear is very tempermental. Does this mean the tranny is going bad, I.e synchros??

The car has 150k on it.

5th gear grind is a fairly common problem on 5th gens. It requires dropping the transmission and replacing a shift fork or something.

Make the owner drive it and show you how to not grind it before you even consider buying. (which I assume you are since your new)

Don't rev the hell out of it in 4th, and you won't grind into 5th. This is very common for Preludes exp mid to high mileage ones.
