Default Gasket, Timing, Compression

I had a mechanic change out my head gasket. He put it all back together and now it won't crank up. The compression and timing is off. He said i need a new head but i just paid for the head to be cleaned, pressure tested, resurfaced, and valve job. The shop who did that said nothing is wrong with my head. I spoke to another mechanic and he told me that it's not needing a new head but the timing is still off. Can someone tell me how to do the timing? What materials will i need to buy to get the belt on. I watched the mechanic put my belt on and he had me buy a bigger belt since the one that came on my lude was too tight. Is this right? Autozone told me I shouldn't buy a bigger belt but the mechanic insisted nothing will be wrong. Please help. Also I will need help with getting compression test right as well. Thanks so much.

Why don't you take it back to the jackass that did the job and make him fix it?

You can't be changing up belt sizes, stick with OEM parts. No vatozone crap.

I know. I'm so p/o but I paid him $600 to come to my house to do it. So I can't go to complain to him. I posted an ad on craigslist to hire mechanic to my house. he said he worked on heads many times. I believed him. Now I'm out that labor money and 2 head gasket sets that I paid $150 each on. I don't think i need to buy a new head as he suggested that's why i'm trying so hard to figure out how to get it running myself.

Go back to him and chew his *** out. He took a job on he has to finish it.

I highly suggest you buy a helm's manual if you're going to tackle the job yourself. You don't sound like you've got a whole lot of experience.

SUE his ******* ***, don't let him get away with it. Call the cops, get a lawyer, do what ever the f*ck it takes. People like him don't get to walk away from their expletive up's just like that. He's got a job to do and if he can't do it, HE can't get paid for it therefor you should get ALL your money back. Whats his name and number? Maybe we can get him hit by an airplane or something not to suspicious!?
