Default f22b dohc

im runnin a f22b dohc in my 93 si lude on the h23 tranny and ecu. Is the h23 ecu pretty close or will i need to tune it later on?

Its close enough that you won't notice the difference from NOT having the p39 (f22b dohc ecu). In the choice of tuning - anything runs better and has more power once tuned properly.

ran the exact same setup as u for a while...and to answer your question the h23 an f22 are almost identical in evry way so no u wont notice the difference as mentioned...btw did u wire a knock sensor on your f22???

just wire in the knock sensor and shift at 6500 roughly...beleive me...i blew my old dohc f22 beating it till i could se the connecting rods from outside the car

Obviously tuning is going to make any engine better, but as was stated before you'll be fine in the meantime.

I suggest getting some cams for that engine. If you're going to tune the engine you might as well have a bonafide reason to do so. They're cheap and you'll have a reason to rev higher than 5500 rpm too.
