OK I GOT A 98 ENGINE IN MY PRELUDE AS SOME OF YOU MAY KNOW BUT my question is when your driving at night with your lights on does anyone one feel that there car is weaked out. like its all different that the lights are on.
i feel that my car runs ******* not in torque or power but like take off and all electrical stuff and that the engine needs to work harder.

your battery may be going bad and it cant run the coil and all the electrical at the same time. get a battery tester and make sure your alternator is putting out power.

If thats not the problem i need to know what mods you have on your car.

i'd have to say either alternator is my number 1 choice then battery and 3rd both of them....

if the headlights seem dimmmer that normal and dash lights too, it could be the alternator going out

list your mods...... Do you have a light weigh pully if so thats why.

well ok i got a tester and tested my battery out with it and its was 15 volts i think and turned on my car and tested it and its was ok. about 15 volts
what u recon

12.6v or greater = 100% state of charge on battery...id make sure your test was done properly...
i think 14.6 is a fully charged battery... like max.. not 100% sure.. but pretty sure it doesnt go over 15v....
but id say your alternator is getting weaker.. prob not charging fast enough.. to keep up with your accessories..
what kind of system do you have in the car and what kind of crap are you running when you notice your lights going dimm?
id grab an avr (Amperage voltage resistance) test from some shop..
see wtf its doing rather then u testing it without any loads and what not..
costs like 40$ ..
then grab a better alternator expecially if your running a system with a couple of 10's 12' 15'a in the back lol
or a capacitor..
or just an alternator with more coils put on it

i got a professional one took it from work.
im gona drive home with my lights on and system pumping and when i get home about 40 min and test my battery and alternator .
lat time i tested it it was 14. somthing about.

check ur grounds if they are loose (ifu have bump in the trunk) or if iits corroded over(if u live in NY)

what do u mean if i have a bump in hte trunk....

12.6v is fully charged and 14.6v is what its supposed to be when its running.....below 9.6 and engine wont crank over...

Yep thats how much mine is. i checked it after driving home with my lights on and system pumping.
but what i noticed when i left my car on when i got home was the fan kicks in alot more than when i got all my electrical off. everytime i have my lights on the car fans kickin like its about to heat up but doesnt beacause the fans cool it but when my lights are off the cars cool with out it.


When the fan with the lights on kick in every 5 min while when the lights are off every 10 min.
is at a problem

no....just as long as they are working i wouldnt worry about it....
