Can i take out 1 of these 2 hex plugs to drain the coolant? Rather than the 1 in the rear next to the oil filter...

 

What's the problem with the rear one?

 

Engine is in my Ek, and if I can empty out the coolant jackets... Just be much easier from the front.

Rear is going to have my wiring, exhaust, and misc parts in the way.

 

the rear one is the lowest point. I can't ensure the front ones are the same level.

 

the fronts are coolant plugs though is what you kinda implied (maybe not the best one but is one none the less)

the biggest issue i am concerned about now is... i got the majority of the green crap out, but when i fill up the radiator with the blue stuff all tjhe water/green is going to be in the core and in the block...

and the blue stuff isnt concentrate anymore and pre diluted (which i hate so so so much)...

If i just throw a gallon of 50/50 in it, its going to end up being like a 20-80 mix once its all in there and such...

 

continue to refill and bleed..

 

That isn't going to fix the problem of... Severly messingnup the 50/50 dilution and I don't wanna risk it considering the winters here in pa get quite cold.

 

The Coolant Plug In The Back Is The Best Place To drain Although It Is A Bitch To Get Too. It Is Worth The hassle to get Your coolant Mix Correct........

 

I tried taking off the back plug, but my breaker bar was about to snap, then I went for the front and same
Result...

So I just took the hoses off from fire wall, used compressor to put positive pressure and out that came from
The head/heater core.

Then I drained the hoses completely and radiator and let the car warm up.

Waited till the thermostat started opened as long as possible... Then I started adding some oem coolant.

I ended up using a total of 6 quarts of antifreeze, in my 6.5q system (according to Honda dealer).

I did start overheating, but I just let the air out of the system after it was warm and problem solved.

 

Good Deal, yeah It Usually Takes a good Impact Gun To Get It Loose from the factory Torque..........
